A Vojtech Holubec collection from the high steppes of southern Chile and Argentina; woody, stoloniferous clumps with lanceolate leaves topped with large golden flowers spotted with red , 2-5 on a stem. Grows in dry or damp sandy, gravelly soils, ~12 cm high in bloom.
